What PornMeter is
PornMeter is an independent adult website discovery, review and editorial ranking platform. We maintain a directory of 2,268 adult sites across 44 main categories, publish written reviews, rank sites inside each category, and help adult users find alternatives to the platforms they already know. PornMeter does not host adult videos or galleries — every page here is text, scores and identification assets for third-party sites.
Our purpose
The adult web is enormous and unevenly documented. PornMeter exists to help adult users compare sites side by side, find alternatives when a favorite site changes or disappears, discover sites in a specific niche, and understand the key characteristics of a platform — pricing, content focus, mobile experience, advertising pressure — before visiting it.
How rankings work
Measurements and available data inform our reviews, but final rankings and Meter Scores also incorporate editorial judgment and category relevance. A Meter Score is an editorial rating informed by automated measurements, observed site characteristics, available data and periodic editorial review — not the output of a single fixed formula. A higher value on one individual metric does not necessarily produce a higher overall position. The full framework is described on our methodology page.
Editorial independence
PornMeter determines its rankings independently. Affiliate availability or commission size does not automatically determine inclusion, Meter Score or ranking position. How the platform earns money is documented in the affiliate disclosure, and the rules our content follows are in the editorial policy.
Who creates PornMeter
PornMeter is produced by two internal teams working under a common editorial policy:
- The PornMeter Editorial Team writes and maintains reviews, category descriptions and rankings, and makes the final editorial decisions.
- The PornMeter Data & Research Team runs the automated crawls and site checks that supply the data reviews are built on.
We publish team pages rather than individual biographies: this is the adult industry, and we believe an accountable corporate author with a documented process is more honest than an invented persona.
Corrections
If a page states something factually wrong, we want to fix it. The process — and what does and does not qualify as a correction — is described on the removal and corrections page.
Funding
PornMeter may earn commissions from some outbound links. The complete explanation of how the platform makes money, and what that money does not buy, is in the affiliate disclosure.
