Editorial control
All reviews, ratings, rankings, category placements and site descriptions published on PornMeter are under the editorial control of the PornMeter Editorial Team. Software prepares data and drafts; editors decide what is published.
Data plus human judgment
PornMeter collects structured data about the sites it lists — through automated crawls, real-browser checks and public information. That data informs editorial decisions rather than replacing them. Automated signals do not make the final call on their own: editors may adjust a score, a category placement or a ranking position when category fit, data limitations, additional context or observed user experience justify it. How signals and judgment combine is described in the methodology.
Independence
PornMeter participates in affiliate programs, and some outbound links generate commissions. Publishers cannot purchase a higher Meter Score or a specific ranking position through the standard affiliate relationship. Commercial considerations are not a ranking factor in the evaluation framework; where an editorial decision and a commercial interest could conflict, the editorial policy wins.
Sponsored placements
PornMeter does not currently sell ranking positions. If a paid or sponsored placement is ever introduced, it will be clearly labeled as Sponsored or Advertisement and will not be mixed into standard rankings without that label. See the affiliate disclosure for how the platform earns money today.
Automation and AI assistance
PornMeter may use software, automation and AI-assisted tools to organize information, assist with drafting or translation, and maintain large datasets across languages. Rankings and published factual information remain subject to this editorial policy and to our data-quality processes; automation is a production tool, not the editorial authority.
Updates
Sites change constantly, and so does PornMeter. Reviews, Meter Scores, category placements and ranking positions may be updated, re-evaluated or restructured at any time without prior notice. The evaluation framework itself also evolves; material changes are reflected on the methodology page.
Corrections
Factual errors are corrected. If a review misstates something verifiable about a site — a price, a feature, an ownership fact — report it via the contact page or the corrections form, and we will re-check the claim and fix the text where it does not hold. However, a site owner disagreeing with PornMeter's opinion, Meter Score or ranking position does not by itself require us to change it.
Right to editorial opinion
Rankings, comparisons and reviews necessarily contain editorial opinion and judgment. Two reasonable observers can weigh the same site differently; what PornMeter publishes is its own editorial assessment at the time of review, made under the rules on this page.
